Founder’s Profile
Felgonah Ndeda is the visionary founder of Imara ECD College, a pioneering teachers’ training institution committed to shaping educators who uplift communities and transform the education landscape. With over 30 years of experience in the Ministry of Education, she has contributed to policy implementation, teacher development, and strengthening education systems across the country.
Her journey includes collaborative projects with the World Bank, particularly in teacher capacity-building and expanding access to education in underserved regions. She was also privileged to play a key role in setting up and establishing the Moi Educational Institute, an experience that shaped her leadership philosophy and reinforced her belief that strong educational institutions and well-equipped teachers are the foundation of national development.
Deeply passionate about educational equity, she is a strong advocate for scholarships for less privileged students, ensuring that financial barriers do not limit access to teacher training and academic opportunities. Through her efforts, many young people from marginalized communities have gained access to training, mentorship, and meaningful career pathways. She firmly believes that a student’s potential should never be limited by their circumstances but enabled by opportunity and belief.
